- Woah! I'm not Dang Hai! I'm Chai, the flower Guy. - Chai said to Raya
Chai is a minor character of Disney’s 2021 film, Raya and the Last Dragon. Chai lives in Talon. When Raya is on her mission to get the Dragon Gem from Dang Hai, she finds Chai instead. He tells her that he's not Dang Hai and that "the most vicious chief Talon has ever seen" has the Dragon Gem piece. Chai does not seem concerned with Raya pointing a sword at him. It's unknown why Chai is in Dang Hai's house, though we can guess it's to put flowers on Dang Hai's altar since he has a basket of flowers and Dang Hai's statue has flowers on it. He seems to be out of it, as he lets the flowers fall out of his basket and onto the floor apparently without noticing.
Physical Appearance[]
Raya describes Chai as much younger than Dang Hai, with sleepy eyes and a slightly dopey face. Chai has black hair tied in a bun and a sparse beard. He wears a vibrant purple vest with cream colored cloth (or bandages) beneath it. His pants are the same vibrant purple as his vest. He has golden bangles on both his left and right biceps.
